Uttarakhand is a beautiful state located in nothern part of India. It is a Himalayan state. The state's capital is Dehradun surrounded by mountains adoring it as a beautiful valley. The state's mountains has some of the highest peaks like Nanda Devi peak with an altitude of approx. 7,816 meters. The state is one of the best places to have a recreational tour to. Recreation here is at its best when one is fond of adventures because places like Hrishikesh here gives you the best exposure to nature. One can enjoy rafting, rock climbing etc.to have adventurous fun. Hrishikesh is also a yogic place where with its spiritual environment one can be at peace within. Also, another spiritual place that you can come across is Haridwar which is one of the venues in India that holds the largest spiritual gathering called Kumbh Mela. Uttarakhand is called the Devbhoomi (Land of Gods) because it has the four major Dhams namely Kedarnath ( Lord Shiva's temple), Badrinath(Lord Vishnu's temple) , Yamunotri(Goddess Yamuna's temple and the source of river Yamuna) and Gangotri(Goddess Ganga's temple and the origin of river Ganga). So,the land is divine in itself and is blessed with spirituality. Then, there is the Valley of Flowers in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand to feel the beauty of nature with its widespread colourful view having variety of flowers whiich is open for the tourists in the month of June until the end of October. Next it is the capital itself Dehradun, the valley. Dehradun itself has many places to visit and enjoy like the Mindrolling Monastery, the place of peace , Lansdowne enriched with nature's beauty has a scenic view and is a hill station best to visit in summers! Robber's cave, Malsi Deer Park, Rajaji National Park, etc. Then it's Mussoorie, the Queen of Hills also has a scenic view, is one of the top hill stations to visit especially in weekends! The Night view of Mussoorie looks awesome especially from Dehradun. Nainital also a hill station has Nainital Lake to inhale an air of relaxation amidst water.
